Christmas

It seems like this year Christmas is flying by more so than normal. It is so much fun to experience Christmas through our children. They are so passionate and animated about everything!! All three of them worked so hard memorizing songs and lines for our church's Christmas County Spelling Bee play! It was amazing to watch......Davis is so into acting and performing right now....I can't help but hope down in my heart that the Lord will use him someday as a Christian music artist. Alleigh however had to put the finishing touches onto the program. It was a surprise for us all but priceless none the less.

We have also enjoyed doing many fun outings this season. We took the kids to the Lake Lanier Magical night of Lights where we saw amazing lights, a live nativity scene and of course, Santa's workshop complete with fair rides! Davis and Drew's faces turned three shades of green when they were on the tilt a whirl ride. We also made our visit to Santa and dropped our letters off at his make a wish mailbox located inside of Macy's. Alleigh was very brave this year and only shed a few small tears. Once she warmed up she talked his ear off. Avery did well with Santa as well, she sat there sucking on her fingers which seems to be her favorite thing lately. After that we took the kids ice-skating!! Wow, that was fun....we couldn't have done that with out Papa Steve's help. Davis is pretty good on the ice, Alleigh gave it her all and seemed to like it, Drew was a little more skeptical at first but caught on after a while, Avery, well, she just took it all in and got a cherry nose from it being so cold in there.

Avery is 5 months this Tuesday......where does the time go. We are working on baby food and tried green beans for the first time tonight. She still isn't a huge fan of the food but it won't be long and she will be. She continues to amaze us with how laid back and happy she is. She loves to squeal and growl at her big brothers and sister.

It is amazing how blessed Matt and I feel these days....that's one of many reasons I enjoy Christmas so much. It gives you the opportunity to not only celebrate our Savior's birth but to also count your many blessings. Blessings that we could never deserve but by God's grace we receive.

.............You know me..........pictures will follow soon.........I promise they will!
